What the Dry Season Asks of Us

The work does not pause when the roads get hard. It changes shape.
The dry season narrows what is possible. Some routes that were open a month ago are not open now, and the days are planned around that reality rather than against it.
Our partners on the ground keep moving anyway. A visit that used to take an afternoon now takes most of a day, and it still happens. The families waiting at the other end are the reason.
This is the part of the work that rarely makes it into a headline: the steadiness of showing up, again and again, when it would be easier not to. We are grateful for every hand that makes it possible.
